Activity
Yachting Boat acts as an intermediary (broker) for the sale of new and used pleasure boats. It acts on behalf of the seller under a written mandate, or on behalf of a buyer under a search mandate. It is not a party to the sale, which is concluded between the seller and the buyer.
Where applicable, the brokers presented on this site as partners of Yachting Boat each operate under their own responsibility and their own registration.
Hosting and technical providers
The site is hosted and served by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States. The site’s database is hosted by Railway Corp., 548 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States. Boat photographs are stored and served by Cloudinary Ltd. The artificial-intelligence tools used by the professional area to read documents, transcribe dictations and draft texts are provided by Anthropic PBC and Groq Inc. (United States).
Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. These transfers are governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and, for the providers taking part in it, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. None of these providers is authorised to use your data for its own purposes.
Listings
The boats presented on this site are offered for sale by their owners, through Yachting Boat or a partner broker. The specifications shown (year, dimensions, engines, hours, equipment, location) are supplied by the seller or noted during the viewing; they are given for information, subject to error, sale or withdrawal, and do not constitute a contractual offer.
The price shown is the asking price set by the seller, brokerage fees included. It does not include possible additional costs: transport, launching, registration, taxes or duties of the importing country, survey. The boat’s VAT status, where known, is shown on its page.
Before any transaction, the boat’s essential specifications are confirmed in writing, and the buyer is invited to view the boat and, if they wish, to have it surveyed by an independent surveyor of their choice.
Personal data
Data controller: Yachting Boat, 5 avenue de Diane, 06600 Antibes, France, contact@yachtingboat.com.
Data collected. When you use a form on the site (enquiry about a boat, description of your search, request for a valuation of your boat), we receive the information you enter: name, phone, email address, message, description of the boat sought or offered. When a seller sends us, at their broker’s invitation, the documents of their boat (papers, invoices, photographs), we keep them in the sale file. We collect no browsing data for advertising purposes.
Purposes and legal bases. This data is used to answer your request, call you back, offer you boats matching your search, build and follow the sale file of a boat and perform the mandate concluded. It is processed on the basis of pre-contractual steps taken at your request and the performance of the contract, or of Yachting Boat’s legitimate interest in following up a request you sent it. You receive no commercial solicitation you have not asked for.
Retention periods. A prospect’s data is kept for three years after their last contact. Data linked to a mandate or a sale is kept for the duration of the contract and then five years, the commercial limitation period; accounting records, ten years. Documents sent by a seller are deleted at the end of these periods or on request, subject to legal retention obligations.
Recipients. Your data is accessible to Yachting Boat’s staff and, if your request concerns a boat handled by a partner broker, to that broker. It is processed on our behalf by the technical providers listed above (hosting, database, photo storage, artificial-intelligence tools), acting on our instructions. It is never sold, rented or passed on to third parties. Site traffic data, if you accepted audience-measurement cookies, is processed by Google (see the Cookies section).
Your rights. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to and port your data, and to set instructions on its fate after your death. You may exercise them by email to contact@yachtingboat.com or by post to Yachting Boat, 5 avenue de Diane, 06600 Antibes, France, stating your name and the request concerned; you receive an answer within one month. If you consider that your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
No decision producing legal effects on you is taken in a fully automated way.
Transparency on artificial intelligence
In accordance with the European Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Yachting Boat informs you of how it uses these tools.
Some photographs published on this site may have been retouched or enhanced with artificial-intelligence tools: cropping, brightness, sharpness, colour correction. No retouching alters the boat’s actual condition, equipment or defects, and nothing is added or removed. A note at the foot of every page recalls this.
Boat presentation texts may be drafted with the assistance of artificial intelligence, from the boat’s documents and the broker’s observations; they are reviewed and approved by the broker before publication, who takes responsibility for them.
This site offers no conversational agent. Should an automated assistance service be offered in future, it would identify itself as such from the start of the exchange.
Intellectual property and database
The site’s structure, texts, visuals, icons and graphic charter are protected by copyright. Boat photographs belong to their authors or to the sellers who entrusted them to us. The name Yachting Boat and its logo are distinctive signs of the company.
The listings as a whole form a database of which Yachting Boat is the producer, protected by Articles L.341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code. Any extraction or re-use of all or a substantial part of its content (including by automated means) is prohibited without prior written authorisation. A private individual may however share the link to a boat page.
Illustration photographs on the Boats, Buy, Sell and About pages: Unsplash, Unsplash licence. The mood photograph on the home page is a synthetic image produced by artificial intelligence: it shows no boat offered for sale on this site, and no real place or person.
Consumer mediation
In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, any consumer client has the right to refer, free of charge, to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of a dispute with Yachting Boat, after first attempting to resolve it directly with Yachting Boat by a written complaint sent to contact@yachtingboat.com or to the registered office.
The contact details of the consumer mediator chosen by Yachting Boat are provided on written request to contact@yachtingboat.com.
Liability and links
Yachting Boat endeavours to keep the site available and its information up to date, without being able to guarantee the absence of error or interruption. The site may contain links to third-party sites, whose content does not commit Yachting Boat.
Governing law
The site and this notice are governed by French law. The French version prevails; other languages are courtesy translations. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers.
